Review: Legret & Fils - Brut - 1971
Submitted: 2nd August 2023
Aroma like an aged glorious Ratafia, splendidly displayed, with rich golden honey, syrupy yellow stone fruits, freshly baked delicate pastry, faint notes of coffee,
Flavour, still fizzy with flavours of enriched experienced fox taste, aged yellow stone fruits, honey, saline, minerals, yellow citrus, hints of smooth butter, with walnuts, almonds, hints of peanut, a nutty display.
44 years later I had the amazing opportunity to taste this wine with current wine maker Alain at their winery in Champagne.
