Gosset Grand Millesime Brut 1985 Tasted summer 2023
Apparence: Intense golden with amber reflection, light effervescence.
Nose: dried pear, bruised apple, candied citrus, toasted hazelnuts, toasted bread crust, vanilla, and caramel.
Taste: rich and intense, the wine shows a vibrant acidity, complex notes of honey cake, biscuits and caramelized mushrooms, all in incredible armony. Long and persistent finish, leaving a white truffle and sweet tobacco combination of flavours.
When I thought that in 1985 I was taking my first breath while somebody in Champagne had just picked some fine grapes that he was about to transform into wine.
And then I grew up and made all my experience, all this while that bottle of champagne was 30 meters underground, in the dark and cool patiently waiting.
Then by chance one sunny day in Champagne!
When I drunk it, I almost shead a tear!!
