Review: Autréau de Champillon - Les Perles de la Dhuy Prestige Grand Cru Millésime - 2011
Submitted: 1st August 2023
Light golden colouring with plenty of streams of tiny bubbles.
Golden honey, baked cooking apples, dried apricot, yellow floral. Most engaging, sweeter characters and expecting a bold display for the taste!
Rich and fruity, relatively decent length. Smooth and creamy yellow fruits, lemon burst, honey, honeydew melon, apricot patisseries in flavours. Fade is a yeasty sweet yellow fruit flesh display.
Medium acidity levels.
Had stored for a few years and I think now is the time to be enjoying this 2011 from current wine-maker Laurent. A fine gastronomic wine, for me dry/hard white cheese or grilled chicken to pair with.
This is officially the first review to be directly added to Champagne Collectors! I am enjoying a fine glass now of this wine as I close off...
