Aroma - "Warming caramelized dried fruits with prunes, dates, and figs all soaked in caramel, rich dried golden honey, hints of baked treats, from brioche, croissants to glazed pasties with some yellow tart within, just like an Apricot Danish Pastry."
Flavour - "The aromas are rising out of the bowl, captivating the palate before you even take a sip, making you salivate with anticipation, upon first contact with this vintage Champagne, you'll be met with zesty yellow fruits, yellow pears, yellow apple, still vibrant in the palate, mixed with a classy age, touch of lemongrass, notes of distant burnt honey and caramel, slight notes of pastry, with more juicy yellow fruits in the length."
This Champagne has held up very well over the years, still youthful at heart despite being over 40 years old, always lovely to see a few bubbles dancing up, even if just for a moment, its colour is a warm yellow/golden-tan, and very clear in the glass.
Enjoyed with family, sitting around the dinner table, with a few cured meats and cheeses on a festive December evening.
