Champagne Brut Rosé "Vintage" 2015 by Pol Roger is made from a blend of Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%). The grapes come from the best vineyards in the most suitable areas, the Montagne Des Reims and the Cote Des Blancs. The specificity of this Champagne consists in the fact that, before the second fermentation, 15% of red wine from Pinot Noir grapes is added. The maturation on lees for 6 years makes this Champagne deep and multi-layered. Pol Roger does not produce non-vintage Rosé Champagne as it prefers to make its rosé from the best vintage years.
📝📝Medium pink-orange colour. Fine and continuous perlage. On the nose, opulent bursting aromas of red fruits, such as wild strawberry, cherry, raspberry, then rose petals, followed by hints of pastry and spices. Perfect correspondence between nose and mouth, where additional notes of citrus (blood orange) are revealed. Incredibly lively and fresh long finish. This outstanding wine can be enjoyed now or can be kept for several years to have a richer and more opulent Champagne. It was the ideal choice to accompany wild smoked salmon, pata negra ham and baccalà pastiera. We truly enjoyed this high level Champagne with its elegant complexity, firm grip and relevant structure.
