To what I remember the oldest Champagne I tasted is Laurent Perrier, Grand Siècle 1985. It is such a memorable champagne that just by thinking about it all the flavours come back to live. Colour was beautifully medium salmon with vibrant rim. On the nose it was delicate yet generous. Rosehips, crème brûlé, nutty taste bursting with delicate bubbles. Simply delish.
