Hi David. Happy to have won an auction from you. I know that Paul has reached out to you regarding collection his winning wines from you (He has bought many!), he said he will collect and pay for mine also if that is of convenience to you? If not, then happy to arrange another way of course. Thank you for using the website as always! Christopher 07917 434943

That is fine, Christopher. One thing, though (and I need to mention this to Paul primarily). I don't drive, so I am willing to bring no more than 6 or 7 bottles per rendezvous. I can physically carry more than this, true, but I am gunshy about carrying more than 7 bottles lest the bag breaks. This has happened to me before, coming back from Paris. There were no breakages - but it was a chilling moment, as I know you'll appreciate. Hope you get to taste some nice fizz this weekend... Best, D.

I understand re carrying Champagne, especially older bottles. I remember once I took a hard case (wheel based) with me to collect 20 bottles from London, I regretted that as did my arms shortly after! Has Paul arranged to meet you at your place? If not, I'll speak to Paul and I am sure he can meet you two times at your chosen location (I am not based in London unfortunately). It would be good to meet you also David and a glass of wine plus something to eat to say thank you for using the website - Maybe we could meet for lunch or an early evening dinner at Paul's restaurant in the near future? If at anytime you want me to pay for the bottle plus postage via bank transfer then just ask of course. Chris.

Good evening Christopher. Hope you're well. Quickie: will hand over your B-Salmon to Paul this coming Friday. (Used to like B-Salmon. Stopped liking it/buying it after opening 2 defective bottles of the rose in a row. From different shops, btw. Returned the 2nd bottle to the house - a full bottle minus a few sips - plus the receipt. The house would not offer me a replacement.) Also: somehow I've ended up with multiple listings of Pommery Grand Cru 2004 on your site. Please delete 2 of them. MANY THANKS. BEST, D.

Thank you David! I have heard from Paul, he has told me he is meeting you in London and picking up his bottles (he has bought many from you!). My payment he will bring to you also of course. As always, I really appreciate you using our website and listing some wonderful wines which delights me as this was the whole reason behind my crazy idea to build such a website. I'm interested to see the bottle I purchased from you and to explore the bottle age, I am not overly expert of Billecart if I am honest. I will look at your duplicate listings and delete for you. Regards, Christopher.

Also David - For any of your auctions that did not sell first time round, did you want me to re-list then for you? I am not sure if you can do that your end.

Thanks for offering to relist, Christopher. I'll leave it for the time being, I think. En passant, the house of Joseph Perrier is just as fine as B-Salmon - and Henriot is even finer. I've tasted Henriot NV bottles from the 70s which were still fresh... Best, D.
