Review: Bergeronneau Marion - Premier Cru Vintage - 1989
Submitted: 2nd August 2023
A woody, oaky, caramel character, prunes and figs in syrup, yellow stone fruits like peach and apricot skin on the aroma. Still very much like a Ratafia Champenois.
The palate is less so, more hollow, weaker, still got faint notes of caramel, woody, oak, prunes and figs in syrup, along with a touch of stone fruit, but, as bad as it sounds, like water has been poured over the above listed notes, so more could enjoy what's left of this rare vintage.
