Vénus 2009 is a Blanc de Blanc Brut Nature made from a single, 0.3 hectare vineyard named La Fosse that was planted in 1959, located in the middle of the hillside and has both the chalk of the hillsides at the top of the parcel and the heavier clay over limestone at the bottom.
The name Venus comes from the name of the horse used to till the soil.
Disgorged 2 months before the release date without dosage (February 2017)
The wine shows stunning depth and richness with lots of bready and brioche notes, a touch of smoke and a perfume of white truffles combined with exceptional freshness, minerality and a persistent finish lingering on ginger and blood oranges.
Fantastic depth and endless finish.
