Such a lovely design of bottle with the Orgueil label.
A soft yellow / orange bright sunset colour. Bubbles show promise initially, though as the minutes pass they fade.
Soft oxidisation notes on the nose clouding much of the character on show. Dried stone fruits, lemon peel, caramel / coffee on the nose.
Flavours are a touch better with still oxidisation showing a faint presence. Dried yellow fruits, prune, saline, dried / bruised green apple flesh, dark salted caramel.
Past it's best, though still an interesting taste experience. Would have been better if opened around 2005 IMHO.
