Magnum bottle.
Lively and fresh. Certainly was easy to drink the bottle between two people! Visually, it was a lighter golden colour with effervescence consisted on near perfect, tiny bubbles.
Tight on aromas initially, allowed 5 minutes in the glass to open up initially. Lighter character with floral and white fruit flesh notes with an increasing brioche presence.
Flavours were quite tight even though 15 years since harvest. The added lees contact comes through towards close of the tasting experience and lingers. Initially it is a clean and fresh taste, not overly complex, yet finer detailed white fruits, apricot, some honeysuckle and roasted / salted peanuts.
Surely more years to age for those stocking some, but still a wonderful taste experience today.
