Colour - A deep rich golden almost caramel colour to the Champagne, adapted to its 50 years of life.
Aroma - Dry caramel, dark syrupy, dried prunes in rich syrup, chocolate, woody forest floor, mossy, with pastries galore, Danish pastries, puréed yellow stone fruits, and more dried fruits relaxing in syrup.
Flavour - Weak in strength and its bubbles lost to time, turned almost into a sherry, with very delicate caramel notes, syrupy dried fruits, prunes, figs, and a touch of forest floor and bark, its sweetness hasn't completely disappeared, although not up to the level of today's 'Dry' Champagnes in turns of sweetness, it certainly still gives you a vintage taste of the sweet flavours of 1973.
A fantastic experience, well worth spending some quality time over your glass, discovering all the characteristics within.
