(The cork had to be carefully pulled out but extracted in one piece)
Copper-Gold and clear, poured with a petillant sparkle.
An oxidative nose that dissipated over time to reveal aromas of dried figs, apricots and sour gooseberries.
The wine admirably retained its effervescence on the palate with decent acidity and flavours of ripe peach, dried fruits and caramel, followed by a long finish. I was lucky to enjoy this rare Champagne courtesy a wine loving friend (both of us born in 1966) who also owns a vineyard in the Napa Valley
(Tasted in 2017 in Singapore)
